Edgar David Tink

Edgar Tink's history and life with Aileen Eunice Arthur.

Edgar David Tink was born at Kaniva, and is the youngest twin son of Esther Emma Maddern and Thomas Henry Tink. He attended the North Serviceton School and worked on his parent's farm. Edgar served in the C.M.F. and A.I.F. in the Second World War for five years from 1942 - 1947. Edgar met Aileen Eunice Arthur, and they were married in the Kaniva Methodist Church on April 28th 1948. After their marriage, they settled on a farm at North Serviceton, and their three children were born. The children travelled by bus to the Kaniva School. In 1980 Aileen and Edgar retired to Bordertown. Edgar spends his time playing golf, bowls and enjoys a game of pool.
